Manufacturing:
These courses provide students with a variety of skills and services by offering them the opportunity to design and fabricate products using a variety of tools, processes and equipment. It allows students to dive into new concepts, like skills in design, processes with computers, and project- management skills while being introduced to more hands-on skills like welding machines, 3D- printers, and engine lathes.
TMJ 20- Manufacturing Technology, Grade 10:
This course enables students to develop knowledge and skills through hands-on, project-based learning. Students will require design, fabrication, and problem-solving skills while using tools and equipment such as lathes, mills, welders, and computer-aided machines. Students may have opportunities to obtain industry-standard certification and training. Students will develop an awareness of environmental and societal issues related to manufacturing and will learn about pathways leading to careers in the industry.
TMY 3C- Manufacturing Technology (Welding Technician) Grade 11:
This course enables students to develop knowledge and skills related to the field of welding. Through project-based learning, students will develop skills with gas metal arc welding, OXY-Fuel welding, Shielded metal Arc welding. Students will also learn the basics of fabrication skills. They will develop critical decision-making, problem solving, and project management skills. Students will develop an awareness of environmental and societal issues related to manufacturing and will learn about pathways leading to careers in industry. (No prerequisite)
TMY 4C- Manufacturing Technology: (Welding Technician) Grade 12:
This course will build on foundations learned in the TMY3C welding technician course. Through project-based learning, students will develop further skills with Gas Metal Arc Welding, Oxy-Fuel welding, Shielded metals Arc welding. Students will also learn the basics material prep and basic fabrication skills. They will develop critical decision-making, problem-solving, and project management skills. Students will develop an awareness of environmental and societal issues related to manufacturing and will learn about pathways leading to careers in the industry.
TMI 3C- Business, Computers and Technology. Grade 11:
This course enables students to develop knowledge and skills through hands-on, project-based learning. Students will acquire design, fabrication, and problem-solving skills while using tools and equipment such as the lathe, milling machine, welders, and grinders. Students may be introduced to the general principles of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in order that they can understand and maintain such systems in an industrial setting. Students will develop an awareness of environmental and societal issues related to manufacturing and will learn about pathways leading to careers in the industry.
TMY 4C- Manufacturing Technology: (Welding Technician) Grade 12:
